Crafting community, one brew at a time

The Brewtubers

The Brewtubers are an online community of passionate homebrewers from around the world — an officially registered American Homebrewers Association club that meets on Discord instead of in a taproom. Members swap recipes and ideas, troubleshoot each other's brewing challenges, ship beers to each other, and collaborate in real time. Whether you're a rural brewer with no local club, too busy for in-person meetings, or found the club through YouTube, this is an online brewing home — and you don't need a YouTube channel to belong.

The experiments

Every year the club runs a brew-along experiment: everyone brews the same recipe with exactly one variable changed, then the beers get shipped around and reviewed. In 2024 that meant ten brewers adding strawberries to the same American wheat beer at ten different stages; in 2025, eleven brewers each swapped a different specialty malt into the same amber ale. Every one of those beers was tasted and reviewed on this channel — watch the full series in the 2024 fruit experiment and the 2025 malt experiment.

Membership

Free membership gets you into the Discord lobby, the club Facebook group, and open club brew day events — enough to hang out and see what the club is about.

Paid membership unlocks the full experience: complete Discord access, live official club meetings (plus recordings of the monthly meetings), first-choice entry into the annual experiments, voting on club issues, a welcome gift plus gifts from sponsors, free membership in the Master Homebrewer Program, members-only brew day events on Google Meet, use of the club name and logo on your competition entries and labels, and in-person perks at NHC — including the option to pour your beers at Club Night and access to the Brewtubers social.

Club sponsors

The Brewtubers are supported by sponsors including Beer & Wine Hobby — the club's official homebrew supply shop — and 5 Star Chemicals. You'll hear them thanked at the top of every experiment video, because sponsors like these keep club projects like the experiments running.
