Fruit Experiment Review #5 — Strawberry hard candy, late boil

The wildcard of the experiment: Matt from Wrecked Brewery added a pound of strawberry hard candy late in the boil. The aroma smells like the other hot-side beers, but the taste is its own thing entirely — a distinct candy note layered over more prominent fermented-fruit character and a touch of alcohol warmth, likely from all those simple candy sugars fermenting out.

Clean, well-made, and dangerously easy to drink — this one disappeared faster than any beer in the series to that point. Proof that the weirdest method on the list can still produce a very good beer.
