Home / Playlists / Brewtubers 2024 Fruit Experiment / Fruit Experiment Review #2 — Purée at flameout
Chris from Burgles Brewing went big: five pounds of strawberry purée at flameout. On paper it's the closest method to the whole-fruit boil from review #1, which makes the differences interesting — this one comes across more complex, with the Cashmere hops balancing the fruit sweetness and less of the hefeweizen-style fermentation character.
The aroma promises more strawberry than the flavor delivers, a pattern that repeats across the hot-side beers in this series. The final word: tart, refreshing, a proper summer beer — one to drink after mowing the lawn.
